Updated Holiday Park Standards
Following a series of meetings between VisitEngland, the other national tourist boards and the trade associations, a few small, but significant changes have been made to the Parks Standard in time for the 2013 visits.
Key Changes to highlight are
- 5 Star Parks - If the park accepts touring caravans, requirement for 100% of non-seasonal touring pitches to have electric hook-up available, reduced to 70%.
- The lead-in time for heating in shower blocks if open between 1st Sept to 31st May is extended to Jan 2016 (previously Jan 2014)
- Smoke alarm and Carbon Monoxide detectors to be provided in all letting units (including caravan holiday homes, yurts, tipis and pods). This is a minimum requirement for VisitEngland scheme participation.
An updated version of the parks standards are now available, your assessor will have copies when they visit you, but you can also download a copy of the updated park standards by clicking here.
