Tourism Society Annual Dinner 2014
Last Thursday night Quality in Tourism attended the Tourism Society’s annual dinner, held at the House of Commons. The annual black tie dinner began with a drinks reception followed by dinner and speeches. Lord Thurso presented the Tourism society Award, which was given to Michael Portillo for making a significant contribution to tourism in the UK.
Neil Quigley of Quality in Tourism said “The evening was a great opportunity to catch up with industry friends and meet new people from the tourism world, as well as hearing some great speeches” Neil adds “I thoroughly enjoyed Helen Grant’s speech on sports and tourism reinforcing what a great place England is and what it has to offer”
The Tourism Society is an organisation for people working in tourism and travel, including educators and students, and others interested or involved in the visitor economy across all its sectors worldwide. They aim to enhance members professionalism and knowledge of the industry.
