Quality in Tourism: South West Tourism Awards

With awards season for 2016/2017 in full preparation mode, Quality in Tourism is delighted to be sponsoring this year’s South West Tourism Awards. Entries to the tourism awards this year have broken all records with 566 entries received from accommodation businesses all over the South West including 96 from Dorset, 153 from Devon, 169 from Cornwall, 17 from the Isles of Scilly, 108 from Somerset, Bristol and Bath and 29 from Wiltshire and Gloucestershire. Numbers are also expected to rise with entry into three prestigious categories remaining open until 26th August. These awards are:
  • The Unsung Hero Award for Customer Service
  • The Tourism Event & Festival of the Year Award
  • The International Visitor Experience Award
Robin Barker, awards spokesperson said “This year’s entries have overtaken 2015 by over 70 with numerous first-time-entrants and evidence of businesses continuing to invest in excellence. We hope that we can build on the region’s success in May’s national awards, when the South West nominees proudly took home more awards than any other region in England.”
