Quality in Tourism at the Glamping Show

Teams from VisitEngland and Quality in Tourism joined forces last week to take part in the first Glamping Show. VisitEngland was an official supporter of the event in Stoneleigh - not only did they take a stand at the show to give advice to operators, but Head of Industry Development, Pam Foden lead one of the seminar sessions on what is involved in accreditation. Members of the Quality in Tourism team joined VisitEngland to help out on the exhibition stand by talking to existing and potential members who were keen to join the new Glamping scheme. One of the key themes that kept coming up from visitors to the stand was sustainability and their passion for this topic. There was a great vibe to the show, with suppliers saying that it had been a real success for them as it had generated them lot of business - which is great considering that the show is in its first year! Having made contact with many potential new members, we look forward to welcoming them to the new VisitEngland Glamping Scheme over the next few months.
