According to new figures from STR, hotels in Europe have continued to show positive results during the second quarter of the year. The figures have shown that occupancy, average daily rate and revenue per available room also known as RevPAR have experienced growth compared to the same period in 2016.
The travel research company, STR suggested that the decrease in the value of the pound also helped to drive inbound travel and domestic tourism in the UK. Occupany in the UK rose by 1% to 79.%, average daily room rate also increased by 5.2% to £94.22. The figures also found that RevPar increased by 6.3% to £75.05.
