Last week, one of our quality assessors visited Tracy and Neil Murton of Grooby’s Pit to present their 5 Star Quality in Tourism signage. The caravan park located in Skegness was originally awarded a 4 star rating from the AA. Upon investigation of the criteria that the AA use, Tracy and Neil realised the significant restrictions the scheme placed on their business, which actually had no real effect on the quality of a customer stay.
The park, which now boasts a Quality in Tourism 5 star rating, wanted to highlight all that was great about a stay with them including the quality of the customer experience.
Tracy and Neil who bought Grooby’s Pit back in September 2011 said “We are very proud of our caravan park that we started from nothing. Quality in Tourism knows what is important to customers which is why we chose to have them rate our business as we believe we offer our customers exactly that, quality in tourism.”
