A Holiday Village usually comprises of a variety of types of accommodation with the majority provided in custom-built spaces, such as chalets or hotel rooms, on a large complex. There is also a range of facilities and activities available that may or may not be included in the tariff.

These Scheme Designators have been specifically developed to help consumers understand the different types of accommodation that are currently available. (Please note, the designator is discussed at the time of the assessment with the assessor)
A Holiday Village can comprise of a single or a variety of styles of accommodation, however some must be of a fixed, permanent nature. There must also be a range of entertainment, sports and leisure facilities available on site, with a swimming pool and an on-site licensed bar being mandatory. These should be available throughout the operating period and general bookings can be on a daily, short break or longer basis.
Forest Holiday Village
This comprises of a Holiday Village that is situated in a forest setting with conservation and sustainable tourism being a key feature. It can comprise of a single or a variety of styles of accommodation, however some must be of a fixed, permanent nature. There must also be a range of entertainment, sports and leisure facilities available on site and a swimming pool and again, an on-site licensed bar are mandatory. These should be available throughout the operating period and general bookings can be on a daily, short break or longer basis.

- Complete the application form provided and return it to Quality in Tourism along with your total payment, which must be made payable to Quality in Tourism. We are also able to accept credit/debit card payments, BACs payments and payments by direct debit.

The participation fee is paid on an annual basis and your joining fee is only applicable in Year 1.
