Who's Who in Quality

VisitBritain

VisitBritain is the organisation created on 1st April 2003 to market Britain to the rest of the world and England to the British and close European partners. Formed by the merger of the British Tourist Authority and the English Tourism Council, its mission is to build the value of tourism by creating world-class destination brands and marketing campaigns.

VisitBritain develops the accommodation schemes, sets the standards, champions the ratings and promotes only quality-assessed accommodation in the enjoyEngland campaigns and all VisitBritain international marketing activities.

Local, regional and destination partners support the quality agenda by promoting quality-assessed accommodation in publications, websites and in Tourism Information Centres.
Quality in Tourism

The Quality Department within VisitBritain's Commercial & Marketing Services is responsible for development and maintenance of the quality schemes, communication of the quality message to consumers, and management of the contracts for the delivery of the quality assessment schemes in England.

One of these contracts is with Quality in Tourism as the company who provides the quality assessors to carry out the assessments on VisitBritain's behalf.

The VisitBritain National Quality Assessment Schemes bring together the vast experience of dedicated tourism professionals, with over 30 years of expertise in running quality standards.

Quality in Tourism assesses over 23,000 accommodation businesses across nine different Enjoy England schemes on behalf of VisitBritain.
enjoyEngland

enjoyEngland (the domestic arm of VisitBritain) is the official tourist board for England and part of VisitBritain. Their mission is to grow the value of tourism throughout the English regions, throughout the year. Their vision is simply to enjoyEngland.
